I had only heard of the term in passing, but didn’t really ever look into it. More compelling for me at the time (and this was several years ago) was troops being brought back to the front lines for two or three tours in rather quick succession. Then I stumbled across this site yesterday. It hosts the story of two soldiers who were brought back to Iraq last April, after two previous tours, one with only seven months to go on his eight year commitment to the armed forces.
